NEW YORK – PlayStation customers are facing backlash after announcing their decision to stop physically appearing to purchase Sony products.
“Our customers really screwed the pooch on this one,” said Hideaki Nishino, CEO of PlayStation. “They think after all these years of loyalty that they can just pull the rug out from under us? We know the real reason they are ending physical copies of their bodies entering our stores. They’re greedy!”
PlayStation customers have practically gone silent after facing so much online hatred of their decision, seemingly hoping the whole situation will just go away.
“This is a decision made with the best intentions possible,” said Daniel Trip, a veteran PlayStation customer. “It is not about making money at all. It’s just clear that the market is moving toward shitting on customers constantly, so we just are adapting by returning that hatred by not buying things and pirating everything. It’s just simple economics.”
Rockstar Games, whose next release in the Grand Theft Auto series will surely be one of the largest game releases ever, has already quietly distanced themselves from PlayStation customers after their decision.
PlayStation customers have been trying to offer some ideas to calm the waters after the backlash such as offering a paid subscription service for PlayStation to have some of their time, summer sales events, and their own E3 event where customers will present trailers for places they will be physically in the future.
