Carney: “I love being PM, except for the brief time I have to spend in Canada”

OTTAWA – Reflecting on being PM for over a year, told reporters that he loves every aspect of the job, except for “the short amount of time I have to spend in Canada every month.”

“I’ve enjoyed my time in office immensely,” said Carney. “I like going to international conferences, taking international meetings, and staying at hotels with the word ‘international’ in the title.”

“Sure every once in a while I have to spend a few days in Ottawa meeting voters and being yelled at by that guy from the podcast, but no job is perfect.”

Since becoming , Carney has excelled at one area of the job: representing Canada on the world stage, while not really attempting any of the others. Insiders say this was a politically risky strategy, but one that is paying enormous dividends.

“Honestly if he spends his whole term abroad he might win the biggest majority government Canada has ever seen,” said pollster Diana Pagus.

“It was a bit odd. I offered to come to Canada for our first PM meeting since I was going to be in New York the week before,” said Australian PM Anthony Albanese. “But he insisted on meeting me at the airport and then flying back to Canberra with me.”

“Then he asked the pilot if he could ‘take the long way round.'”

In related news Carney was overheard asking his finance minister how much it would cost for him to commute from the UK every day.
