Ford to Carney: “Interfering in lower orders of government is MY thing!”

QUEEN’S PARK – As Prime Minister inks a deal with Chinese President Xi Jinping to integrate their countries’ electric vehicle sectors, possibly impacting Ontario’s car manufacturing, Premier is furious because “punching down is kinda my move”.

Ford had harsh words for the EV agreement, and even harsher words for the notion that a leader from the Federal government would directly meddle in the affairs of a Province.

“Listen folks, by lowering tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles this lopsided deal risks closing the door on Canadian automakers, just like I closed the door on being able to choose their number of city councillors of have bike lanes without my deliberate meddling,” Ford raged.

The premier, who refused to accompany Carney on the Chinese trade mission, insisted that bossing around a smaller and weaker legislative body was “only funny when I do it to those geeks in Toronto.”

Premier Ford went on to outline the many legitimate reasons he had for unilaterally dictating terms to the city of Toronto, like for the time the city didn’t vote him in as , revenge for the time Torontonians noticed his brother Rob had smoked crack, and revenge for the time Toronto elected Rob as mayor instead of Doug.

“What Mr. Carney doesn’t understand, because he lives in Ottawa instead of Ontario,” Ford explained, “is that over 90,000 workers are employed in Ontario’s auto sector, a number which has barely budged in the 8 years I’ve been premier, because I was busy at the cottage that weekend.”

Ford added that Carney should stop making international trade deals, and instead follow his example of sitting idly by while Ontario’s auto sector is lost to the US while wearing slogans on ballcaps.

“Mr. Carney needs to stop pushing around us little guys, unless he wants to help me legislate that Toronto city hall gets turned into a private spa, because that would be hilarious.”
