Woman tears up at wedding photo capturing moment where her arms looked thin

CALGARY— woman Maura Lessing has reportedly experienced a special and life-affirming moment after looking at a photo from her taken at exactly the moment her arms looked very .

“I don’t want to get all maudlin,” the 32-year old nurse practitioner told reporters, “but there’s just something very special about knowing I’ll be able to show this picture to our grandchildren and say ‘look, this was the day when Nana got the angle of her elbow just right so it would hide that pesky layer of fat under her bicep she couldn’t get rid of.’”

Lessing remembers the exact moment the photo, a group shot, was taken.

“I was leaning in to kiss my husband Jeff–and I looked around me to see all my loving parents, lifelong friends and respected colleagues. Then I remember looking down my left arm and thinking how perfect the light was hitting it. It looked like Mia Wasikowska’s arm. I don’t think I’ll ever be that happy again.”

Lessing admitted that she was worried after going through some “rough” arm years in her late twenties. But after months of careful planning, managing budgetary and logistical challenges from catering to , Lessing says it’s little moments like this that make the effort worth it.

“At the end of the day, life really is just about love—the love that Jeff and I feel for each other, our family and our friends.” she said, wiping away a tear. “And nothing encapsulates that better than this one incredible shot in which you can actually see my tricep muscles.”

Maura was already planning on giving her entire extended family photo albums from the wedding as Christmas presents. Naturally the cover of the album will be a zoomed in shot of her amazing arm.
