Ottawa man fighting for ISIS calls for lone wolf attacks, unless anyone wants to hang out

OTTAWA – The terrorist group has released a video of Canadian John Maguire calling on his fellow Muslim countrymen to carry out lone-wolf attacks, unless any of them want to grab a bite or maybe watch some Netflix together.

“It should not surprise you when operations by the Muslims are executed where it hurts you the most,” says 23-year-old McGuire in the video. He then goes on to elaborate, “Some of those places might include the Trivia Night at (local pub) the Fox and Firkin. Or one of those Dave & Busters places. Those always look like a fun place for pals to hang out.”

Before the release of the video Maguire was already under investigation by the , a move which he reportedly responded to by saying, “Cool, did they say anything about me?” In the video he identifies himself by the name Abu Anwar al-Canadi, which translates roughly to “Canadian who’s up for whatever you guys are”.

Later in the video Maguire insists that his preference for lone wolf attacks was purely for their strategic advantage, as he had “a ton” of terrorist friends, but they “just happen to live out of town.” He then implies that one of his terrorist accomplices “would have been available to help (him) out,  if he hadn’t started seeing Cindy a month ago and become totally whipped.”

Maguire goes on to casually suggest that any potential lone wolf terrorists reach out to him on social media. However a cursory search of his Facebook reveals only 12 friends, most of whom are immediate family. Likewise Maguire’s Twitter account, @TerrorISISt, has only a handful of followers, most of which are sponsored corporate accounts such as “Arby’s” and “Transformers 4 on blu-ray and dvd”.

At press time, an RCMP spokesperson commented, “The type of attack Maguire is planning would require several accomplices to see through. So we’re pretty confident that there is no actual danger.”
