Study finds jogging for just 30 minutes a day can add 30 minutes of stress to your life

Cambridge, MA – A new study from Harvard science has indicated that individuals who engage in just 30 minutes of jogging a day add 30 minutes more of stress into their day against those who do not.

“Our recent forays into light exercise have really changed some of our preconceived notions,” explained Maya Brownstein, from the school of public health. “Many people found exercise to be a good way to push the human body into uncomfortable places for long stretches of time and our recent findings show this to be exactly right.”

While Dr. Brownstein says exercising can lead into a positive feeling of bragging about the exercise done, the net negative effect of people being annoyed by bragging makes this a net loss.

The study found that the benefits of jogging can include hurt knees, finding yourself far from home while tired, leaving yourself in a precarious position, stabbing chest pains, and potentially being literally stabbed in the middle of town.

The study encourages individuals to try different types of stress like biking stress, stairmaster stress, and push up stress to round out the complete routine of physical and mental strain.

“Sitting on a couch watching TV relieves stress,” stated Dr. Brownstein, pointing to an image of a happy person. “In order to gain back the stress lost from sitting around and eating chips, the best way is to add stress into your routine with exercise that hurts, feels icky, and covers everything in sweat.”
