CALGARY – Speaking to a crowd of supporters, Pierre Poilievre urged Albertans to vote to stay part of Canada, partly for national unity, and mostly because he doesn’t want to have to find a third federal riding to run in, in just under 2 years.
“As we debate the fight for a united Canada, we must remember those that will be impacted the most, namely, federal opposition leaders who will be forced to find a third sure thing riding to run in,” Poilievre explained to the crowd during one of his rare visits to a city located vaguely nearly to the riding he currently represents.
“To make matters worse, the new riding I’ll have to find won’t be able to be in Alberta, because that’ll be another country,” the Conservative leader emphasized. “And if you think I’m coming with you to New Albertastan, or whatever you call it, no thank you. I prefer to stay living in a first world country.”
Poilievre then closed his “Canada Unified” remarks with an exhaustive two hour long listing of ways the Federal Government has disrespected hard-working Albertans.
