Elder Millennial opens zip file of cherished memories

Brandon, MB – While doing some cleaning around her hard drive, local 39-year-old Hannah Greensly has stumbled upon an old zip file containing all her photos from the aughts and is currently taking a trip down memory lane.

“Oh my god, I thought I lost these when the modem caught fire!” Greensly said as she poured over the few moments from her short and unimpressive life. “Look! There’s a photo of me downloading some songs off of Limewire!”

“Apparently Facebook used to have a 60 photo limit and Instragram was still a location check in app, so you used to have to store your extra photos on your computer until you were ready to show them to someone.” Said Greensly’s 12-year-old nephew Kevin, who still isn’t sure why his aunt showed him a video of Rick Ashley dancing after saying it was a video of something really funny.

“I have so many questions. Why are half these JPEGs upside down? Why does everyone have red eyes? And who’s this Obama guy she has so many pictures with?”

Greensly’s favourite photos include a picture of one specific Polaroid, a black and white photo taken at the mall, and an entire album of photos taken at one house party. The file also contains several other goodies, such as a bunch of songs she bought off the iTunes store with a gift card, a pirated movie she never got around to burning onto a DVD, and the icon for Roller Coaster Tycoon, which she can’t play because she doesn’t have the disc anymore.

At press time, Greensly had resumed her digital cleaning, only to discover an MP4 file from her long-lost father claiming he had found a new clue to the Aztec treasure he had been tracking.
