Nation starts GoFundMe for Jon Hamm so he doesn’t have to do any more Skip The Dishes ads

OTTAWA – The nation of has come together to raise money for struggling actor Jon Hamm so he doesn’t need to do any more of those god awful Skip The Dishes ads.

“I know there are probably more worthy causes to donate to than a guy who already makes millions of dollars a year,” said Aaron Speith of Kamloops as he confirmed his $50 donation. “But this will help so many Canadians.”

“At the end of the day it’s not about him. It’s about us being able to turn on the without living in of having to see the star of Mad do a skit about eating popcorn with gloves on.”

The GoFundMe was started during the NHL and playoffs when Canadians were forced to endure hours upon hours of Jon Hamm like an auctioneer, Jon Hamm taking selfies, and Jon Hamm thinking it would appeal to Canadians to do an over the top Canadian accent.

“Honestly I couldn’t even watch Good Omens. I just kept expecting Jon Hamm to ask David Tenant to order him a poutine while really laying into the pronunciation of the word poutine,” said one resident.

The GoFundMe really took off on news that Skip The Dishes would start delivering , given the number of Jon Hamm as Don Draper ordering a bottle of Canadian Club ads the company was expected to make. It has already crossed the 2 million mark. Organizers expect to present the money to Hamm next month, in exchange for a blood oath that he will never do these ads again.

A representative for Hamm said the actor would be willing to accept the terms of the deal. “Honestly he doesn’t want to do those ads anymore anyway. Besides he has already lined up his next sponsor – he’s going to be the guy who sings the jingle in the Sleep Country Canada spots!”

A separate GoFundMe to raise money for the unknown actor who plays Hamm’s intern in those ads has only raised 30 bucks.
