TORONTO – Some CFL fans were disappointed to hear that the League has cancelled the championship game today due to apathy and lack of awareness.
Low ticket sales, poor advertising, and Toronto’s unfamiliarity with Canadian football has contributed to the decision to postpone the game at BMO field and try again next year.
CFL officials reported that close to no one was able to make an appearance at the game including players from both teams.
“I feel bad, but today is my mother-in-law’s 67th birthday,” explained Ottawa RedBlacks quarterback Henry Burris. “After that, we’re going to Jackastor’s to catch the Bronco game!”
Others tried to make an effort to find subs for the match, but were ultimately unsuccessful like Calgary Stampeders running back William Langlais.“I was texting all of my friends, but they kept telling me that they have to get up early tomorrow morning.”
According to sources, some members of the public started to make appearance at BMO Field before realizing that festivities was not related to a Toronto FC game.
