Leitch defends using Nazi gun: “It was a gift from my grandfather”

COLLINGWOOD, ON – leadership candidate has defended using a World War II-era handgun used by German soldiers in a fundraising claiming it was a gift given to her by her grandfather.

“Opa would have been very proud to see me using his favorite weapon,” Leitch told reporters at a gun range while displaying the 9mm Walther P-38 “He proudly fought in World War II and it’s upsetting to see the liberal media go after a proud veteran who obtained the rank of Hauptmann.”

Leitch claimed that her grandfather first used the standard issue Wehrmacht sidearm in Poland, and then extensively in France and Russia.

“I keep this memorabilia safe and clean, just like his Iron Cross,” explained Leitch. “After the war, he kept it because he was a farmer in Argentina and had to defend his cattle from wolves and Mossad.”

The MP from Simcoe-Grey said she supports the rights of gun owners to bear arms and bury their family .
