Phoenix pay system makes generous $1.5 billion charitable donation with unpaid public servants salaries

– After kicking off the Government Charitable Workplace Campaign for all public servants, the Public Service Commission has announced that new Pay System has made a very considerate, kindhearted, and automatic donation of $15 billion with the unused salaries of thousands of employees.

The software system that has been best known for overpaying, underpaying, or not paying the Canadian bureaucracy made the altruistic donation last pay period. Some 80,000 civil servants from various departments have unwittingly given all of the pay they’re owed thanks to a philanthropic glitch in the IBM software.

“Thanks to this innovative compensation system, our campaign has never been more successful,” explained Public Services Minister Judy Foote holding a giant novelty cheque destined for the United Way. “I am so proud of how these dedicated government workers who, despite difficult circumstances of not having any for food or shelter, have managed to give back to their communities. From the bottom of my heart, I thank these people for bottoming out their bank accounts.”

“There’s also a good chance that these services provided by these charities are being used by many of our current employees who have been patiently waiting to receive any compensation for their labour.”
