Hydro One offers grass-fed organic electricity

TORONTO – has announced that all of the electricity provided to their Ontario customers is certified organic, and comes from local, grass-fed sources.

Reacting to controversy around their higher than market average pricing, Energy Minister suggested that recent auditor’s reports didn’t take into account the significant efforts that Hydro One have made to provide a product suitable for the Ontarian marketplace.

“Our Ontario customers receive the healthiest electricity in the nation,” explained Chiarelli. “It is the only electricity supply that is appropriate for customers with gluten allergies, and is also paleo and vegan friendly.”

A local barista, Tate Etherington, expressed his relief at the news. “I was initially pretty bummed out that we were paying $37 billion more than we should, but now that I know where my electricity comes from, I’m happy to pay the extra cash,” said Tate. “I like knowing that my electricity is generated locally, rather than from some kind of slave labour, halfway around the world. I mean, I can even visit the power plant! Having a personal relationship with your suppliers is really important.”

Following today’s announcement, an Ontario government spokesperson announced plans to increase the cost of tap water, saying that the water is “100% glacier fresh” and “hand treated by artisan water plant workers”.
