Pope recognizes Instagramming meal with “#blessed” acceptable form of saying grace

VATICAN CITY — Cool, social media-savvy (@Pontifex) has declared that uploading a picture of your meal to with the caption “#blessed” is now recognized by the as an acceptable form of saying grace.

The Pope said the idea came to him after he noticed many young people had given up the tradition of saying grace before a meal in favour of Instagramming a picture of their dish.

“The kids these days express their faith in different ways and I want them to know I’m ‘down’ with it,” the Pope said while gesturing with a downward peace sign.

The Pope acknowledged that some moderate Catholics may choose to simply use a praying hands emoji or the smiley face with a halo emoji. However, he warned that those posting pictures of their food without one of the prescribed captions can not rightfully consider their meal #blessed by the grace of God.

At press time, Pope Francis said he was looking into the spiritual potential of EDM and was “seriously considering” Skrillex’s request to be ordained as a minister.
