Government asks child pornographers to hold off until they balance budget

OTTAWA – In light of the $10 million in cuts to the ’s anti-child pornography agenda, the Conservative government is asking pedophiles to lay off for a bit while they balance the books.

“Protecting our children is the number one priority of this government,” said Conservative MP Roxanne James about the 25% reduction to the RCMP’s unit that tracked down and apprehended online predators. “Unless that interferes with cost cutting so we can break even for the next federal budget. Everyone needs to make sacrifices and that includes the nation’s child pornographers. So, I’m asking them to please, stop.”

James reassured the House of Commons that funding would be restored the moment the federal government paid off its debt, obtained new replacements for the aging Sea King helicopters, celebrated Canada’s 150th anniversary and effectively achieved peace in the Middle East.

“One day, children will thank this government for growing up in such a fiscally responsible country,” James added.
