Chris Brown quits music industry to escape abusive relationship with media

LOS ANGELES – R&B singer has announced that, following the release of his album “X”, he will retire from the music industry after facing what he described as a “steady, unrelenting, felony-class assault” from the media.

“The way the media has brutalized me is really without any kind of precedent whatsoever”, stated the 24-year-old recording artist. Following the media’s hounding of him, Brown described the resulting emotional pain as being comparable to “having your head smashed into a passenger side window and being repeatedly punched until your mouth fills with blood.”

He added, “It’s also a bit like being subsequently choked.”

Revealing that many acquaintances and fans had pressured him not to talk about the assault, even going so far as to demand that he forgive the same media that had repeatedly attacked him, Brown was resolute. “I cannot excuse the treatment I have received, and keeping silent would simply be a tacit endorsement of the abuse that wealthy, male, convicted-felon celebrities are forced to endure everyday in this country.”

Brown stated that he “only hopes the media will reflect on their shameful treatment of him”. He claimed to have “no idea” what they will do next, but naturally assumes that they will all individually get neck tattoos depicting his bruised and bloodied ego.

“That’s just the obvious thing to do when you’ve hurt someone.”
