Weird cousin performs two hours of knife tricks at family gathering

BURNABY BC – Guests of Aunt Linda’s annual summer barbeque were dumbfounded last Saturday when fourteen year-old Riley Cresswell performed at them for 2 hours.

“He dropped it a lot, but when he finally landed a trick, it was pretty cool,” said a new boyfriend of one of Cresswell’s cousins, Parker Gillespie, who was at the barbeque for the first time and was in no place to make enemies. He then went on to refer to Cresswell as “Little Man” despite being only two years his senior.

The performance began when the grade 10 student, stage name “Dragon Fingers”, stepped onto Linda’s new vinyl balcony in his limited edition leather Suicide Squad Converse. His button up blue flame t-shirt billowed as he placed his Samsung Galaxy S5 in a plastic cup and began to play Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain”, which repeated for the duration of the two hours. Guests were first amazed then bored then amazed again at their endurance to humour the teenager’s presentation.

Midway through the performance Uncle Stan tried announce that the ribs were ready but was stopped by a polite but panicked smile of Aunt Margaret. The ribs were served cold 45 minutes later.

“Riley’s such a good kid. It’s great that he’s found something he loves to do” gushed Aunt Linda, who then became quiet and appeared sad. “I always wanted to horse dance.”

Riley is scheduled to perform at Aunt Linda’s thanksgiving dinner in October, Harvest Day at the Community Center in November, and Coachella in 2019
