Mom’s cabin fleece merges irreversibly with body

MONT-TREMBLANT, QC — After a weekend spent skiing and drinking hot cocoa with her family at a cabin in the Laurentians, the last thing local mom Dawn Frick expected was to be melded permanently to her Patagonia . Monday morning Frick awoke to discover that a layer of flesh had fused at the cellular level with her prized thermal garment.

“Is it a grotesque medical anomaly? Yes. But does it also provide optimal all-weather insulation and breathability? You bet,” offered a surprisingly upbeat Frick, who wears a fleece most days, whether hiking or searching for sour cream and pre-shredded cheese dip recipes on her iPad.

“Once the layer of repulsive scabs healed, she seemed completely fine with the transformation” mentioned Frick’s husband, who went on to describe the mutation as “inevitable.”

At press time, Frick’s body had also subsumed a pair of Nordic walking poles and several Maeve Binchy paperbacks.
