Tory MP assures Canadians that his racism is merely institutional

OTTAWA – Conservative MP John Williamson has reassured the public that his comments regarding temporary foreign workers did not reflect his own personal views and was merely expressing racism at the institutional level.

“I can tell you that I hold no bigotry against any type of person,” said the New Brunswick MP. “But we can all be thankful that our current immigration and foreign worker programs certainly do. I was merely reinforcing Canada’s systematic prejudice against people who do not look like us and how they’re stealing our jobs. That doesn’t make me a racist.”

Williamson explained that he will defend government barriers to new immigrants such as increasing visa fees, not recognizing their foreign credentials, denying health care benefits or limiting periods of stay, but does not believe in these policies personally.

“That would be offensive,” Williamson reminded the press.

According to sources, the government of Canada will announce a new type of citizenship reserved for “brown people”.
