La Poutine Week: Most popular dishes - The Beaverton

La Poutine Week: Most popular dishes

Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec City will be hosting La Week from February 1st until the 7th. Here are some of the more popular dishes being served:

Poutini

5 parts french fries, 3 parts cheese curds, 5 parts gravy, 11 parts gin, 3 parts dry vermouth. Garnish with olive or lemon twist, and serve in chilled cocktail glass.

Pauline Marois Poutine

Secular white cheese curds, French fries and a suspicious veiling gravy. Ensure the white cheese is always on top and is never uncomfortably placed in contact with gravy.

The Poor Man’s Poutine

No Name Potato Chips, packet of stove-top powdered imitation gravy and a cut-up Cheese String. Make things interesting with crinkle cut potato chips. Brown water a good substitute for gravy.

The Poutine

Thick cut fries, train of gravy with a reduction, gouda cheese curds, cheddar cheese curds, extra gouda cheese curds, low-tax-deep-fried-butter. Wrapped in pig skin and usually arrives late.

British Poutine

Beer battered chips and Stilton cheese smothered in mutton gravy, wrapped in a bap and toped with warm ale.

Putin Poutine

Firm Motherland potatoes, corrupt Circassian cheese and vodka gravy. Served in a massive bowl still under construction. Arrives sooner if a family member or friend owns the restaurant.
