OTTAWA – Taking some time out of his not-so-busy prorogation schedule yesterday, Prime Minister Stephen Harper wrote a letter to John Boehner and the Republican caucus thanking them for making him look good.
“When this prorogation began, everyone was talking about how un-democratic I am, as always” Harper explained.“But now that America has no government to speak of, I look great.”
“Sure, the opposition hasn’t been able to hold my government accountable for weeks,” he said. “But now that America has dropped the ball with furloughed employees, the risk of default, and the closure of national parks, I look like Gandhi!”
“I look forward to paying the Republicans back for their help by giving Ted Cruz the Order of Canada.”
