Skipping vinyl record becomes accidental dubstep hit

MONTREAL – Electromania at Club Soda has produced the latest number one hit single courtesy of a skipping vinyl record.

DJ Dangerzone was mixing last week when ‘Vox Humana’ by Kenny Loggins began to skip, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Nineteen minutes passed before the audience began to catch on.

The reaction left the DJ and scenester bemused. “I really just put two records on at the same time and hope for the best. I had no clue people loved the Loggins. People love that that kind of stuff, especially when they’re stoned.”

His creation received rave reviews from music lovers worldwide.

“He was pushing the envelope, you know?”  said local raver D.L. Archambault while bobbing rhythmically to sounds only he could hear. “It was like, yeah, right on, give ‘er!”

Club promoter Johnny Lights  said he normally can’t tell when one song ends and another begins during Electronica Nights. “It’s like being trapped in a loud elevator with a subwoofer,” Lights explained. “But this – this was transcendental.”

Dangerzone worries that this new-found attention will distract from his better songs. “My take on Adele had more depth” he added.
