fans are always picking on for blowing leads in the playoffs, like that time we lost to Boston back in 2013, 2018, 2019 or that time we lost to them again in 2024. But say what you will about us, at least we never blew a 27-point lead like the did last night.

Oh sure, we’ve had some Game 7 third collapses, but yours was truly epic. It’s not like you were up three goals in the third. You guys were up 27 points!

You guys sounded like you were all ready for the playoffs… I mean, election. You wouldn’t shut up about how you were going to defeat through grit, hustle and making the right play. Plus you never stopped working the refs, complaining about the coverage you were getting. But then Carney came into the picture and you guys couldn’t defend at all. Like if you were looking to blow that big of a lead, you might as well have had Jake Gardiner run your campaign.

And trust me, there’s times we were the favourites and still lost. Like when we lost to . But we were up against Carey Price. He’s a great goalie. You guys were up against Carney, a guy who was the backup goalie at Harvard. Do you guys know how bad you must be to lose to a guy who was the backup goalie at Harvard? There’s no way a nerd like that could stop a puck. You guys would have been better off going up against a Zamboni driver.

But hey, take it from me… whatever you do, don’t blame others for your loss. I only say this because I saw that one guy on TV being like ‘’s to blame for why we lost,’ and that didn’t sit well with me because the only people you can blame for losing, after being up that much, is yourselves.

From where I’m looking the problem seems to be that you guys just couldn’t play clean, and then spent way too much time attacking instead of playing smart defence. Oh, and you also over-focused your ad spend on non-traditional media in Western ridings where you’d already made significant by-election gains, as opposed to sharpening your GOTV message to appeal to moderate fiscally- leaning voters in Québécois.

Next time, keep yer stick on the !

Anyways, I hope you guys have a good offseason and take the time to reflect on how you can do better the next time around. I’d recommend seeing if you can pick up a new leader as a free agent. That Poilievre guy can’t lead for shit.

Hope to see y’all on the golf course. JK. We’re going to win the cup!
