Update: Ontario Finance Minister staffers prematurely tweet staged quarantine photos before he arrives home

AJAX, ON – Staffers of Minister accidentally released images of the minister staying inside his home while he was still on vacation.

“I have started my required 14 day quarantine,” lied the post. “I would like to thank all of the frontline health care workers for all of their hard work. Remember to stay home. #SupportOurFrontlineHealthWorkers.”

Pretending Phillips is back from his vacation is proving to be much more difficult for political aides than pretending Phillips was in Ontario when in fact he was in a tropical paradise.

“I stayed up til 3 AM photoshopping [Phillips] into a Ukrainian Christmas celebration for nothing,” complained an unkempt 24-year-old political graduate to the exhausted 23-year-old political science graduate after broke about the minister’s vacation. “And now this happens!”

The premature announcement was promptly blamed on the most junior staffer not knowing how Hootsuite works.

According to sources, staffers agreed to take turns on wearing a wig for the minister’s next announcement.
