Red Hot Chili Peppers write coherent song lyric

After 20 years and millions of albums sold, Grammy winning recording artists The have written their first ever song lyric that actually makes sense.

“It all started when I wrote the lyric ‘Kentucky girl in love with the boy'” said vocalist and lead songwriter Anthony Keidis. “Naturally I was going to follow that with ‘oreo yoyo son lick my decoy’ or ‘jack in the box stop playing coy’ but then I thought,  what if instead I sing about how he doesn’t love her back and it was like, mind blowing.”

The song reportedly contains no gibberish talk-rap,  nouns transmogrified into verbs, or out of the blue references to the state of California as either a physical place or a metaphysical state of mind.

Some long time fans of the band however, were less than excited to hear the news.

“I’m so sick of great bands selling out and abandoning the sound that their audience loves,” said 45 year old air guitar enthusiast Keith Hall. “I listen to RHCP for killer drums, a funky bass guitar, and non-sensical lyrics that suggest the band is either really horny or tripping on LSD or something.”

Entitled ‘Holy Fuck we did it!’ it will be the lead single on the band’s new album Sacramentolishiness, Californamancepation.

At press time singer and guitarist Billy Joe Armstrong still had not found that 4th chord he has been searching for his entire life.
