Local jets losing their mind at dog show

EDMONTON – A dog show has caused an uproar among jet owners, after the show caused many to become panicked and upset.

“All day my cute little RQ-3 Darkstar ‘Fluffie’ has been whining and crying and hiding underneath my feet because some idiot decided to create a spectacle around these loud, obnoxious ,” said concerned jet lover, Denise Frankwitz.

The jet-frightening dog show’s attractions including dogs walking, dogs sitting when told and dogs having their heads measured and compared to ideal size for their breed.

Frank Jefferson of Jefferson’s Airplanes, a local no-kill jet shelter, also opposed the dog show. “These have been through a lot – many were misused and neglected when they were just tiny jets, still in the factory. The barks and yelps are major triggers for these poor little guys.”

An anti-dog show petition on change.org has garnered over 2000 signatures since Saturday night. It calls on Edmonton  Council to ban any future Dog Shows within the city limits, as well as any other event that might disturb local jets, such as petting zoos.

In an official statement by theEdmonton Dog Show committee: “Any distress caused to jets by the dog show is regrettable and unintentional but the show is a fun event for manyEdmonton families. The Dog Show is also a chance for the skilled riders of the Royal Canadian Dog Force to demonstrate their skills.”
