Report: cooking show competitor might not finish in time

– In a dramatic and unforeseen turn of events, Julianna Markus, contestant on popular cooking show  may not be able to finish making her meal before the time limit expires.

“I took too long sauteeing my mushrooms and then my sauce wouldn’t thicken, and now I don’t know how I’ll be able to plate in time. I mean, who could have seen this coming?” asked Markus.

Chopped host Ted Allen could only express shock and concern for Markus, because “if she doesn’t finish in time, then she will almost certainly get chopped!” Allen also made a point of noting that the stakes were quite high at the moment.

Neither Allen nor any of the expert judges could recall a competitor nearly running out of time since the first commercial break.

Judge Marc Murphy did however have some advice for Markus, as he helpfully yelled out “hurry up!” at her as she frantically arranged a kale salad bed for her pan seared wild boar.

At press time Markus had somehow managed to finish cooking before the deadline, but she was NOT satisfied with her presentation.
