Nation celebrates end of Rob Ford Awareness Month

TORONTO – Closing ceremonies were held at Toronto City Hall late into yesterday night to mark the end of Awareness Month.

The month-long observance successfully brought to the world’s attention the triumphs and tribulations of the mayor of Canada’s largest city, including his Etobicoke slum upbringing, his improbable rise to power and his perseverance amidst widespread mudslinging.

“Ford’s journey was truly inspiring,” said one spokesman. “He has shown the world that you can be anything if you set your heart to it, and that you can be on anything if you’re the mayor.”

At press time, celebrations at Toronto City Hall were over and the building was once again staffless and devoid of activity.
