On day 104 of NHL lockout, Brian Burke reflects on most successful season as Leafs GM

TORONTO – With the lockout nearing its original end date of December 30th, General Manager, , took a moment to reflect on his most successful season with the troubled franchise.

“Morale is high among the players, hockey fans don’t hate us and, unlike past seasons at this time of year, we haven’t yet been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs,” Burke said, celebrating with a glass of Dom Perignon . “This is definitely my best year with the Leafs by far.”

Maple Leafs chairman, Larry Tanenbaum, echoed Burke’s statements, and said that the only thing that could ruin the Leaf’s perfect season right now is a dreaded work startage.
