Montreal, Quebec, Canada- The Canadian owned internet pornography video-sharing website Pornhub has announced that, in honour of Mother’s Day, it will be removing the word “Fuck” From its MILF tag.
Pornhub owner Fabian Thylmann had this to say about the name change: “Women are the backbone of this business, and it’s important that we give the impression that we appreciate them as something beyond sex objects once a year. We love moms.”
The company intends to add to its expansive library of content to exploit the invisible work Mothers perform in society. Such material reportedly includes videos of adult performers running errands, assembling artillery shells during the Second World War, and breastfeeding while explaining its nutritional value aloud.
In addition to dropping “fuck” from the popular acronym, Pornhub will be adding additional categories to honour mothers. Such tags include: MITCOAWTSHSD (Mother I’d like to call once a week to see how she’s doing) and MILSATFCMMF9M, BNIAEW (Mother I’d like to show appreciation to for carrying me for nine months, but not in an erotic way).
Porn enthusiast Frank Guthers, 31, had this to say about the Mother’s Day shift, “Post-nut clarity hits differently when you think of all the unseen labour both emotional and otherwise, that mothers are expected to perform… I should get my mom a card.”
Heather Guthers, 58, Frank’s mother, appreciates the effect the change had on her son, “Anything that gets my boy out of his goon cave and to take out the garbage without asking him twice is fine by me.”
An anonymous adult performer who uploads content for the media giant had less optimistic thoughts about the marketing ploy: “I’d prefer benefits or better pay, but I suppose it is nice to see that the industry won’t entirely forget about me after I turn twenty five.’
Fabian however, sees a bright future in curating content this way, “If honoring mothers is a hit then why not more? Father’s day is just around the corner, and we all want to be good for daddy… There’s room to branch out with cousins and step siblings too. Because as we all know, porn is really about family.”
