Parizeau wins sovereignty from his corporeal form

MONTREAL – Former Quebec premier Jacques Parizeau, who nearly lead the province to sovereignty in 1995, won his lifelong battle for independence from his body this week. He was 84.

In a statement prepared prior to his death, the former  leader claimed victory from his dependence on oxygen, food and the body that oppressed him for more than eight decades.

“He was always passionately advocating for more and more sovereignty for people chained to human physiology,” said his successor . “He will no longer have to submit to the trauma of waking up from sleep or the humiliation of breathing all of the time. He is now truly sovereign.”

According to sources, Quebeckers from various ethnic backgrounds are expected to celebrate his lifelong struggle from flesh and bones later this week.
