Local man creates world peace by flipping Risk board

Bancroft, ON – After hours of strife and heartache, Milton Meagher put an end to senseless slaughter of lives and global total warfare by flipping the Risk board  upon which he and his warlord companions were engaged in battle.

“Seeing so much futile violence and the destruction of an entire generation of young men was too much to stomach,” said Meagher as he donned a white robe. “I did what anyone with a sound conscience and a love for humanity would do in that situation – I made peace through creative and loving intervention.”

Modest Meagher does not take all the credit for his peace spreading ways.

“I am only one man standing upon the shoulders of past peace activists before me,” he insists. “Yesterday, I was the change I wanted to see in the world.”

Not everyone is as enthusiastic over Meagher’s activism.

“The dude’s a dick, ok. We were three and a half hours in and he was about to lose so he flipped the board, simple as that,” said a jaded and war weary Gavin Cortez   “I just took North America and had a card set prepped to cash in, the writing was on the wall, two to three more hours I was going to take that game. That is until piss-ant pulled his world peace stunt.”

Meagher hopes the era of peace can continue uninterrupted, Cortez however plans first strikes to begin at 8:00 PM Friday night at his parents place and asks that those attending to bring snacks.
