November to become Female Pubic Hair Appreciation Month

VICTORIA – A new charity, Novembeaver, is looking to draw awareness to ovarian cancer research with women being encouraged to grow out their pubic hair for charity.

“We like to think of it as a celebration of the Muff-Month,” Shannon Delaney, president of Novembeaver, stated at a press conference held at the Vancouver Island Hotel.

During the press conference, the group’s new campaign slogans were released and now “Don’t mow the muff,” and  “Celebrate the beaver as the national animal,” are now being posted around the country promoting the cause.

Novembeaver wants to challenge the notion that female pubic hair is taboo. In a press release the group states, “After it seems almost illegal for women to have pubes. Maybe we should challenge society’s obsession with the prepubescent look?”

Delaney also sees the project as a form of equality.

“For a good cause, men grow out their mustaches in November, which many women either find unattractive, creepy, or irritable. If women have to put up with Sidney Crosby trash-stashes for a whole month, a little bush shouldn’t annoy anyone.”
