Local dad less enthused than hoped about ‘daddy’s girl’ back tattoo

OSHAWA, ON – Ashley Moffat, 22, rushed home Sunday morning to show her father the new message of love she had carved into her skin as a birthday gift to him, only to be disappointed by his somewhat tepid reaction.

“I thought he would be honoured that I wanted to show the world how much I loved him,” Moffat stated while pointing to the , which has the words ‘daddy’s girl’ written out in an artistic and sensual cursive, and is positioned immediately below her left shoulder blade.

“But he just looked unhappy and said he would have preferred a gift certificate to .”

Moffat was especially surprised because her previous tattoo, a social commentary slogan advocating for the emancipation of tibet written in chinese symbols and placed on her inner thigh had been very popular amongst the community.

“I just wanted to make daddy as happy as the previous tattoo did for everyone who saw it. After all the care and devotion he showed me, especially after he got out of prison and quit drinking, is the reason I felt empowered enough to get the tattoo in the first place.”

Ashley’s father Steve admitted he had a problem with his daughter’s choice. “For starters I thought it was going to be bigger,” he said. “She also got the wrong font, a nice helvetica or arial would have been much easier to read. And don’t get me started on how much she paid. If I’ve told her once I’ve told her a thousand times: always negotiate. Its actually downright embarrassing to me that she paid retail price!”

“Her mother got a much better deal on the ‘Heartbreaker’ tattoo she put on her left boob.”
