Woman relaxes after stressful job with hobby that she will eventually turn into another stressful job

EDMONTON – After returning home from a 10-hour day at her stressful, thankless job, local woman Jennifer Bodaruk reports that she is looking forward to unwinding with a relaxing hobby that she will soon turn into another stressful, thankless job.

“Making homemade jewelry is something that I’ve always enjoyed doing. It’s a great outlet for my creativity, and I find that it really helps me unwind after a long and exhausting day of teaching disinterested third-graders,” said 28-year-old Bondaruk. “And that’s why I’m going to give it maybe two or three more months before I suck every ounce of enjoyment out of it by turning it into yet another monetized activity that I do to pay the bills, even if the cost of materials means I never actually turn a profit.”

Bondaruk’s friends and family are supportive of her decision, including best friend Emily Cloutier, 31-year-old social worker who turned her video game hobby into a gruelling online streaming career.

“Self-care is so important. When you have a job that really takes an emotional toll on you, it’s so important to make space in your life for activities that you do for no other reason than pure personal enjoyment,” said Cloutier. “And then when you start feeling anxious about your financial situation, it’s just as important to forget all of that shit and turn your hobbies into a joyless grind that you force yourself to do, even if it nets you almost no extra money.”

At press time, Jennifer Bondaruk was contemplating whether to turn her after-work destress masturbation session into yet another part-time freelance job.
