Facebook all set to remind you of the anniversary of that Minions meme your dead aunt posted

THE INTERNET – Despite you not asking for it even once, Facebook says it’s ready and waiting to remind you of that meme your now-dead aunt posted three years ago.

“Remember this?” said the social networking platform used by over 2 billion people. “Boy, your father’s deceased sister really liked the supporting characters in Despicable Me. She probably would have loved the Minions movie too.”

The meme, which features a small, grumpy Minion standing next to the words “Don’t Judge Me. I Was Born To Be Awesome, Not Perfect”, was one of many that your aunt tagged you in prior to passing away. Despite the fact that she has been dead for quite some time and that your family is trying to move on, Facebook believes that not only should you see the meme, you should also be reminded of her birthday, and of events you both attended in the past.

“It seems like it was only yesterday that she was alive and posting sassy memes,” said Facebook, which cannot be stopped from doing this. “Except it wasn’t yesterday, it was exactly three years ago. See? I timed it for you.”

At press time, Facebook says it plans to put the meme at the very top of your newsfeed so it’s the first thing you see when you check your phone in the morning.
