MONTREAL – With the Montreal Grand Prix F1 race back in the city from June 5-8, Montreal is once more pretending to be a European metropolis, kicking off ‘MontEurol Weekend.’
“It is a great time of year,” Montreal mayor Denis Coderre explained, while wearing a Ferrari team jacket, tinted shades, extra hair gel, three day stubble, and flicking cigarette ash aside. “We welcome all race fans. Just no Roma. We don’t tolerate Roma. Go Expos.”
As of 12 a.m. Thursday night, parents are allowed to give alcohol to children of any age under the pretense that it attunes their tongue and curbs binge drinking.
The city has also created more pedestrian streets, major intersections have become roundabouts, and city officials are once again taking bribes.
