OTTAWA – A recent analysis of transcripts has revealed that stenographer Maggie Peck has actually been working on a work of fiction about the sensual life of a courtroom stenographer.
“I started writing this piece during really boring cases,” Peck said. “Stuff that would never be read, like parking infractions or depositions for white cops who killed ethnic youths.”

“My favourite part was forbidden romance between the mousey stenographer and the distinguished judge,” said the Honourable Judge Hilbert Kain.
At press time, Peck was finishing the section where Bradley Cooper, attorney at law, broke down the walls the heroine had built around her heart even more quickly than he had the defense’s opening statement.
