Strip searches allowed in Quebec schools so long as staff respectfully compliment students’ sexiness

Following a report in a Montréal newspaper about a 15-year-old who was searched for drugs, Quebec Education Minister has said high school staff are permitted to strip-search students, so long as they respectfully compliment the students’ sexiness while doing so.

Bolduc spoke at the National Assembly on Tuesday, saying “There are reasons why staff may have to strip-search students, but what’s important is that they rebuild the student’s confidence by compliment them on how hot they’re looking that day”

“Being searched is an intimidating experience, so we need to make sure we put students at ease by saying how great their ass looks, admiring their breasts or abs, or telling them how often we think about them when they’re not around”

The school board did not dispute the report, but said they had followed proper procedures as set out in a 2010 government policy document on the many contexts in which staff might find themselves in a room with an unclothed teenager. The board went on to cite guidelines that must be followed in these circumstances:

• Staff must compliment a student’s appearance at least twice during a search, as well as hypothesizing once about the student’s prowess

• Two people must be present during the search so they can talk later about how hot the student was

• There must be no direct contact, unless you want the bouncer to throw you out

• And, uh… oh yeah, search for drugs, I guess

The board was asked what might happen if they could not think of any ways to compliment a student’s attractiveness, but stated that the possibility of an unattractive student being strip-searched was “unlikely”.
